The strengths and weaknesses of the manuscript will be noted along with suggestions for improvement. These suggestions may include revising, cutting, expanding, or reordering content.

Line Editing
An evaluation of the sentence and paragraph to keep the tone of the manuscript consistent and characters distinct. It analyzes aspects such as dialogue and word choice for the target audience. Suggestions aim to elevate the prose and sentence structure of the manuscript.

Copy Editing
Copy editing concentrates on sentence-level improvements and corrects grammatical, punctuation, citation, and consistency issues. It ensures that your manuscript adheres to language conventions and any applicable style guides. This type of editing reviews the flow of your prose, the effectiveness of your dialogue, and the overall clarity and readability of your manuscript.
2-4 weeks
Proofreading
This is the last step in editing that focuses on catching spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors and ensuring consistency. No major suggestions are given, and no significant changes are made to the manuscript.
